These instructions describe the building of a classic Meccano model, a Showman's Traction Engine. This is driven by PDU motor via two forward and reverse gears and differential, all concealed inside the main structure, with gearbox and rear brakes operated from the driver’s cab, and independent drive to the crankshaft enabling dynamo operation when stationary. Other realistic details include old-style headlights, opening roof trap-door and a chimney extension.
Plan includes a trailer which to build requires a few additional nuts and bolts.
