These instructions describe the construction of a model inspired by the Carousel or Roundabout of traditional centre truck design from Bert Love’s Meccano Constructors’ Guide.
At the heart is an octagonal pillar driving the 24 gallopers suspended from ‘spider’ arms and rotating on an overhead roller bearing, with motion transferred through a gear ring.
The gallopers, steam engine and organ blower are driven by a single PDU motor.
